At Fonz's Marine Services Inc. we offer top quality marine maintenance for your vessels needs. We specialize primarily in fire, thermal, sound, pipe insulation, and all other marine grade yacht insulations. Along with engine room deckplates, and perforated or solid aluminum engine room walls and ceilings. Insulation is an essential part of a vessels infrastructure varying from fireproofing bulkheads, insulating overheads and partitions, soundproofing generator panels, and re-insulating the pipe insulation on the chilled water lines & chiller plants. Our most common insulation work is the HVAC pipe insulation on the chilled water lines, fan coil units or air handlers, chillers, etc. To many times the pipe insulation goes unnoticed since many of the lines run out of sight in walls, overheads, and floors. To many times we have seen neglected insulation fail causing leaks through out the vessel, which results in water damage to finished wood, overheads, carpets, etc, mold growth, leak on to electrical components causing thousands in damages. All properly installed pipe insulation should last about 7 to 10 years or be done at each refit. Unfortunately many vessels do not have their pipe insulation installed correctly. If your pipe insulation is touching any structure or has anything touching/compressing it, it will cause the insulation to fail. At Fonz’s Marine Services we do not simply just replace the insulation, but get to the root cause of the failure and fix it. We strive for the highest quality, skill, and dedication to work, perfection and nothing less.
